For those of who you aren’t hardcore Psyonix fans, Rocket League originally rooted from the mods and the modes of Unreal Tournament, a fairly popular first person shooter. Psyonix wants their fans to know that they haven’t forgotten where Rocket League comes from and will prove it to you by releasing a FREE update this November.

What will this update bring to its players? Most importantly, you can expect to see an abundance of groovy Presets and Custom settings, giving you the ability to “Mutate” your matches. For example, if you crave to experience game modes such as “Cubic” or “Time Warp” all over again, the power is all yours. Whatever your preference may be, the ability to change the rules and settings with a Custom Match is in your hands. In addition to that, Psyonix has even created their own “Mutator Mashup” playlist for you to enjoy in crazy public matches.

In just a couple of weeks, you can experience the free update for yourself and spend some time generating bizarre matches. For more in-depth details on how the Mutators work, tune in on their official Twitch channel October 29 at 5pm Eastern/ 2pm Pacific. Otherwise, check back with them on Reddit, November 3 at 4pm ET for “an AMA you won’t soon forget.”

In the meantime, check out this short trailer below on mutating your Rocket League experience.
