Considering the original release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was already five years ago, we were obviously expecting something magical for its special edition. I mean, the game was already pretty then, and it pretty much got a total makeover.  With that stated, technology is constantly flourishing. Sure, five years may not appear to be a long time, but whew, the system requirements might make you think otherwise.

Minimum:

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit Version)
  • Intel i5-750/AMD Phenom II X4-945
  • 8GB RAM
  • 12 GB free HDD space
  • Nvidia GTX 470 1GB /AMD HD 7870 2GB

Recommended:

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit Version)
  • Intel i5-2400/AMD FX-8320
  • 8GB RAM
  • 12 GB free HDD space
  • Nvidia GTX 780 3GB /AMD R9 290 4GB

Some of this may be gibberish to you, so in order to run the stunning world of Skyrim Special Edition at its best, it may be time to upgrade that good ol’ PC of yours. Not to mention, Bethesda promised owners of Skyrim (AND all three DLCs) that the Special Edition will be completely free. Not too shabby of a deal, if you ask me. Otherwise, Skyrim Special Edition will be sold at $60, with the Legendary Bundle sitting at $40.

Experience the extravagant world on October 28th.
