Remember Warhammer 40k Space Marine? Remember how awesome it was? Remember how we will never get a sequel to that game…ever?
Well I do, and it’s a shame that a sequel to that game will never come to be…however it’s not all doom n’ gloom. As it seems Streum On Studio, probably has thought of the same thing, but instead of making a Warhammer 40k hack n slash/shooter hybrid, they are taking a different approach making a tactical FPS with their new project Warhammer 40,000 Space Hulk: Deathwing.
No, before anyone asks, this is not actually a sequel to the previous Space Hulk Ascension released over two years ago which was a straight adaptation of the board game, but rather a spin off of the Space Hulk board game, and turning it into a Tactical FPS, developed on the Unreal Engine 4, and currently being made by the same team that developed the HIGHLY underrated E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy.
In this trailer, it overviews the gameplay mechanics discussing the teammates, localized damage system, as well as the enemies you will encounter in Space Hulk: Deathwing.
Overall, currently, the efforts look promising so far, and the trailer definitely shows effectively what the game is about, and if you are a big Warhammer 40k fan, and are itching for a new tactical fps, then this is a game to keep your eyes on.
