When Bayonetta 2 released on Wii U in late 2014, it released with both the original Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 in one package. It was a great deal when it was listed at $59.99, especially for those that never played the original. But now Nintendo is looking to give us another value option.
Nintendo’s official Twitter account posted earlier today that in preparation for Bayonetta’s forthcoming appearance in Super Smash Bros., the publisher would be releasing a standalone edition of Bayonetta 2. But since half of the original package wouldn’t be included (Bayonetta 1), then half of the price should be eliminated as well:

That’s right, on February 19th, Bayonetta 2 is hitting retail as a standalone edition for just $29.99. That’s a great deal on a great game! The Metacritic score for the title sits currently at 91, which is impressive to say the least. At under $30, you’ll have a hard time finding a better bargain currently on the Wii U.
