The beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, developed by Bioware, is in development for a remake and it’s absolutely stunning.

The reboot of KOTOR is in development by Poem Studios with the remastered version being titled “Apeiron”. They are teaming up with fans to portray a remarkable new world in the Unreal Engine 4, including additional missions, items, and companions.

And here’s the best part — the remake is 100% free.

Poem Studios confirms that this is true due to the fact that the new and improved KOTOR is categorized as property of Disney. This signifies that Poem Studios is not allowed to sell it.

So put away those credits and enjoy the beauty of Apeiron without having to fork out a thing.

So far, photos of what appear to be the Endar Spire and Tatooine are available to view on Apeiron’s official webpage. Brace yourselves, for the images are nothing short of breathtaking.

While myself and other fans of KOTOR eagerly await more information, Poem Studios has put together a Twitch account where you can actually view their development of Apeiron live.

With a game as admirable as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, my fingers and toes are crossed that Apeiron will overcome all sorts of expectations.

So far, so good.
