Stardew Valley was quite the sleeper hit of 2016. The best Harvest Moon game in years that wasn’t actually a Harvest Moon title, but it brought that feel to PC. Then 505 Games went and did everyone a solid by bringing it to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now, a Collector’s Edition of the game is headed to good ol’ brick and mortar.
For All the People that Love Retail Boxes!
505 Games announced that Stardew Valley Collector’s Edition will land at retail on April 11th. The Collector’s Edition will feature the game proper, a Pelican Town Map, a mini-guide book by Kari Fry, and a download code for the Stardew Valley soundtrack.
If you’ve yet to get the lowdown on the game, here’s the breakdown:
“You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley! Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!”
This is exciting news for anyone that has yet to get their hands on the life-sim. Stardew Valley held a spot on many “Best Of” lists last year. The retail Collector’s Edition will cost $29.99 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch edition is still planned for later in 2017.
