Steamworld Dig 2, Blaster Master Zero, Runner 3, Jump to Nintendo Switch


During this morning’s Nintendo Direct 17 indie games were announced. Shortly after the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo held an event at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco to highlight the titles coming to the platform.

Here’s a breakdown of what we saw:

Steamworld Dig 2 – Coming Summer 2017

Image & Form returns to its roots with Steamword Dig 2. Dorothy, the steambot merchant from the first Steamworld Dig, is doing the digging this time around. 

Stardew Valley – Coming Summer 2017

Stardew Valley is an indie farming simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric Barone. After making the jump from PC to Xbox, and PlayStation in the spring, Stardew Valley makes the final jump to the Nintendo Switch.

Escapists 2 – Coming 2017 

The Escapists 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch this year, featuring drop-in, drop-out co-op for up to four players. The game will feature new multi-level prisons, which players can scale by tying together knotted sheets.

Dandara – Coming 2017

Dandara is a platformer launching with exclusive features and functionality, including HD rumble support, which features a gravity-bent world. Players must scale the world as Dandara, jumping around the world in an effort to restore order.

Kingdom: Two Crowns – Coming 2017 

Kingdom: Two Crowns will feature a co-op mode allowing two players to work together to rule a kingdom. Two Crowns will launch later this year.

Runner 3 – Coming 2017 

Runner 3 will launch on the Switch this fall. The sequel will feature new Retro Challenges, character moves, and more dance moves. YAY !

Blaster Master Zero – Coming March 9th

Blaster Master Zero marks the return of the NES classic series available March 9. This time around a two-player mode will be included, which will feature character cameos from previous developer Inti.
