Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - 4

It’s not too far now from when we’ll be Dancing in the Moonlight. Telltale is beginning to churn the marketing cogs as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy nears closer to what we hope is a Spring release. And today we have fresh information and screens.

Hooked on that Telltale Feeling

To start today off, we have an official synopsis for the upcoming episode entry:

arvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.”

The studio also gave us a breakdown as to who is voicing the cast we’ve known to love over the last few years. The names do not disappoint:

“The series will feature a star-studded cast of voice talent, including Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot.”

Telltale went on to encourage fans to checkout their panel tonight at PAX East in Boston. Their panel starts at 6:00 p.m. in the Albatross Theater. In addition to that, the studio will be at SXSW on March 17th. There, Telltale will “Crowd Play an early version of the first episode at a one-of-a-kind premiere event at the Paramount Theater.” That event will kick off at 6:30 p.m. In it, “audience members will be able to control the story from their seats using their mobile devices to help decide what happens on the big screen!”

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
