Tomb Raider

We’re less than two years away from seeing Lara Croft back up on the big screen. Deadline is reporting that the MGM and Warner Bros. cofinanced Tomb Raider flick will be hitting theaters early 2018.

The studios have specifically targeted March 16, 2018 as the film’s debut. This is the same weekend that the Warner Bros. produced The Flash film was rumored to release. This, obviously, will no longer be the case. And The Flash film will likely be pushed a few months into the summer blockbuster season.

The 2018 Tomb Raider reboot film will see Oscar winning actress Alicia Vikander star in the iconic role of a young Lara Croft. Directed by Graham King, the movie “will tell the story of the young and untested Croft on her first adventure.” Not unlike the plot of the recently rebooted Tomb Raider game series by the sound of it.

We’re still a ways off from the beginning of shooting, and thus obviously it will be a while before we see anything akin to a trailer. But once we do, you’ll be able to find it right here at

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
