The Witcher 3

We’re not sure if you’ve heard, but The Witcher 3 is pretty good. CD Projekt Red knows this too, and hammers it home with their newly released “Epic Trailer.”

The trailer is essentially two minutes of nonstop accolades for The Witcher 3, with some of the title’s fantastic combat and cut scenes dispersed throughout. The game has garnered crazy good praise since its May 19th release, securing a Metacritic score of 93 on PC, 92 on PlayStation 4 and 91 on Xbox One. Outlets raved about the game’s overall experience, and those ravings are on full display in the Epic Trailer.

You do realize it’s award season, right?

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, Game Director on The Witcher 3, recently summed up the team’s year:

“This year was really epic for the entire crew behind The Witcher. We launched Wild Hunt, the RPG we’ve been working on for so long, then we’ve gone above and beyond to give gamers as many free DLC as we could, and then released Hearts of Stone, which – judging from player feedback – took the game even further. And we innovated all along the way — if you compare Wild Hunt to our previous game, almost every element was improved or changed. Now we’re working on Blood and Wine, the final expansion for Wild Hunt which we will launch in 2016. To thank everyone for being with us this whole time, we’ve prepared something special — enjoy the Epic Trailer!”

Victory Point’s own award season is about to jump into full swing, and (spoiler alert) you can bet The Witcher 3 will be a part of numerous conversations. So until then, on behalf of Tomaszkiewicz, we present the Epic Trailer for The Witcher 3. Enjoy!

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
