While I’m sure no one thinks that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is lacking for content, CD Projekt Red still has more of it coming next week. The developer has revealed that the Hearts of Stone expansion will be available October 13th.
To hype up fans, a new “launch” trailer has been issued. Even though the DLC doesn’t release for another week. Geralt has been hired to take down a horrid bandit captain whom goes by the name of Olgierd von Everec. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone promises over ten hours of new content. You’ll meet new characters, dangerous monsters and build a unique romance while traversing a “new storyline shaped by your choices.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone also implements a brand new system called Runeworlds that will deeply impact gameplay. Each Runeworld will have an effect on different in-game mechanics, and thus, give players the ability to experiment with different combinations for strategic advantage.
Hearts of Stone releases Tuesday on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at $9.99. An Expansion Pass, which grants access to Hearts of Stone and the forthcoming (larger) Blood and Wine add-on, will cost $24.99. Blood and Wine will cost $19.99 as a standalone when it’s ready for release.
