With TowerFall Ascension being a local multiplayer game at its core, you will now have the ability to use ad hoc wireless to battle your friends on the PS Vita this upcoming week. Though those already familiar with TowerFall are used to button smashing their way to victory, the PS Vita version will feel like an innovative experience.

If you already happen to own TowerFall and its DLC (the Dark World Expansion) on the PS4, it will automatically be available on your PS Vita, no purchase necessary. Otherwise, TowerFall will be set at a price of $14.99 and its DLC will be available to purchase at $9.99.

PlayStation is also working on patching in cross saving support which will allow you to save on your PS4 and transfer your file to the PS Vita, and vise versa.

If you aren’t quite acquainted with TowerFall’s gameplay, check out its brief trailer below.
