The rumors began swirling just a month ago, and now the dust has settled. Right out of the gates of their Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed the existence of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.
We won’t have terribly long to wait for Link’s latest remake. Twilight Princess HD is headed our way March 4th. Alongside the game itself will be a new Wolf Link amiibo. It’s a pretty dope little figure which features Midna as well riding on Wolf Link’s back. In addition to the new Wolf Link amiibo, Toon Link, Link, Zelda, Ganondorf and Sheik will be supported in an yet to be detailed capacity. You can purchase the Wolf Link amiibo in a combo package with Twilight Princess HD when it hits retail in March. Nintendo is also throwing in the title’s soundtrack as well.
The game appears to be the GameCube version, as Nintendo’s video showed traditional control inputs as opposed to waggle. I’m personally very excited to play the game with a (semi) traditional controller. It doesn’t seem like it, but when Twilight Princess HD releases in March it will mark nearly a decade anniversary of the original release on the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo’s coverage of the game begins at around the one minute mark of their Direct presentation.
