Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 4

Nearly 17 years ago The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time released on the Nintendo 64. The game had a dramatic role in cultivating a young Jeffrey’s video game obsession from there on out – and I’m sure that’s the truth for many 30ish year old gamers out there. Therefore, when I found the video below published by YouTuber Ioannis Papazis which renders Kakariko Village using Unreal Engine 4, it blew me away…

It’s just gorgeous. The grass. The mountains. Just the damn bricks. I WANT IT! Sadly, it will never happen. Especially since Ocarina of Time 3D was just released a few years ago (which was great). But that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the clip. Maybe in 2023 we’ll get a 25th anniversary that can look somewhere along these lines? That sounds about right for Nintendo… I kid because I love!

Check it out below and let your childhood memories come flooding back to you…

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
