There aren’t many huge releases left in 2015, but that doesn’t mean anticipation isn’t high for the few that are left. In order to give gamers a better look at what they are in store for in Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause 3, Square Enix has released the first hour of gameplay. This comes a mere week before the heavily hyped title releases on December 1 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The video, which is gameplay played by the developer Avalanche Studios, obviously has some spoilers as it shows off the very beginning of the game. If you are already certain that Just Cause 3 is for you, then you might want to not spoil the game for yourself. Otherwise, there really isn’t a good reason not to check out what Rico Rodriguez is up to.
Check out the first hour of footage (which includes several early missions) below:
Taking place in an open world that spans over 400 square miles, Just Cause 3 is poised to be one of the largest games of the year. This is a similar size to Just Cause 2’s Panau, which also clocked in at about 400 square miles. Since the game is so huge, and can be tackled from many angles, Square Enix assures that players first hours may be very different from the video that we’ve embedded above.
Just Cause 3 is Avalanche Studios’ second high profile release of 2015, as they released Mad Max earlier this year. As the title would indicate, this is the third entry in the Just Cause series, which began in 2006 on PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Xbox 360.
Just Cause 3 is set to launch on December 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Let us know in the comments if you’ll be joining Rico Rodriguez on his latest escapade.
