Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X launches in North America and Europe this coming Friday, December 4th. The game is essentially the only prominent release for the Wii U this holiday season. So, in order to bring anticipation for it to a climax, Nintendo has issued a new Launch Trailer for us to drool over.

Most “launch trailers” these days are just quick snippets of a title amounting to roughly 45 seconds of actual content. Today’s trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X though has some real meat on its bones. It’s over three minutes long and actually gets into details as to what the plot will revolve around.

You get a good sense of Mira’s scope in the new trailer (it’s big). You’ll also be introduced to the characters in the game that will eventually join your party, and also learn what led to Earth’s destruction, and thus, your species inhabiting this new foreign planet.

Xenoblade Chronicles X launched in Japan back in April. It did quite well review wise, earning itself a current Metacritic score of 84. Local reviews are sure to start pouring in at the end of the week. Take a peek at the new trailer below, and if you’re a Wii U owner, consider grabbing Xenoblade Chronicles X for whenever you need a break from Super Mario Maker.

Growing up a 90's kid, Jeff found his love for gaming during Nintendo's heyday. Because of that, you could call him a "Nintendo Fanboy" (albeit a rational one) to this day. Outside of his passion for the gaming industry, he’s also an avid sports enthusiast (New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies mainly) and enjoys quality/popular TV shows and movies.
